I first realized my interest in taking pictures when I took a basic black and white photography class as a junior at Temple University. That class, and the people I met in that class, led me to switch my major from film to photojournalism. After I graduated, I was hired to work for several newspapers, and during these positions I really learned to tell a story with my photographs. Also, during this time, I began photographing weddings with a fellow Temple photojournalism major, Natalie. The way we approached each wedding was very exciting to me because, like the work I was doing in my newspaper assignments, each couple had their own story that we could capture.
Six years later, I can honestly say that I love photographing weddings because of the couples and what I know photographs will mean to them as they look back on their wedding day for the rest of their lives. The adventure that Natalie and I go on with each couple, from the first day we meet them to the day we deliver their finished wedding album, is more than just a job. We build a trusted relationship and tell their story.
