New Year’s Eve wedding on a rooftop in Center City? Bridal party portraits in front of the PSFS sign? We’re in!
We had the pleasure to revisit with one of our favorite families for Liz and Gary’s wedding on New Year's Eve this past December and it was so much fun. This was the second time working with their family so it was like spending a holiday with friends! We started the day with the groom and bride getting ready at the Loews. She and her squad were in a nice, large suite so we had plenty of room to move around. We had so much space it made doing bridesmaid portraits on the bed a must! Gary and his friends were on a separate floor so there was no danger of running into each other.
With the ceremony at Epiphany of Our Lord Church in South Philly, we had to kind of hustle down there. South Philly wedding ceremony’s always seem more fun for some reason. The closeness of the neighborhoods and the feel of the city around that way just adds something. We followed up the ceremony with some bridal party portraits on South Broad Street. The bride and groom with City Hall in the background at night made for quite a look! The bridal party cheering from the trolly helped the mood, too.
After that, we returned to the hotel for bridal party portraits on the Loews staircase. This might have been the best decision ever. The dark stone and reflective surfaces made everything look so regal. With that in the bag, we ascended to the top of the hotel to party the night away. The bride and groom watching fireworks during their reception never get old. We even went on the rooftop with them to get some wedding pictures in front of the PSFS sign.
Such a wonderful evening.
