New Jersey Beach Engagement Portrait Strathmere

We always try to encourage people to pick a place that really means something to them when they are figuring out where to do their engagement portraits. That philosophy has taken us as far as New York City for engagement portraits because that's where people live. It's also taken us to places like Citizen's Bank Park for engagement portraits.

When it was time to figure out where we were going to meet Linda and John, they immediately thought of doing their engagement portraits in Strathmere, where they spend a good amount of their free time. We love the beach so it was NOT a hard sell to get us there!

We started on the beach and then wandered through town towards the bay before ending up at their family home for a few pictures with their dog!

Now, you might be asking 'but we know these guys from somewhere??' and you'd be correct. If you have spent time on our blog then you've seen them before here. Their Union Trust wedding pictures have graced these pages already. And the reason you're seeing new photos of them is because today is their one year anniversary!

Happy anniversary Linda and John!

Philadelphia Wedding Photography | Kerri & Mark's Grounds For Sculpture Engagement Portraits

*Posted by Matt*

When Kerri and Mark first told me they wanted their engagement photos at Grounds For Sculpture, I was a little skeptical. I had never been to the park before and a lot of times it's not okay to just walk in and start taking pictures. But I had heard so much about the park and the potential was definitely there for great images. If you haven't been there before, the park contains a slew of larger-than-life sculptures spread out over acres of green space that you can just walk around and enjoy. Mark and Kerri live not too far from the park, so they were no strangers to it.

Now that everything is done I can honestly say that it was such a good idea.

We met up on a Sunday morning and just walked around the park, taking pictures with the normal scenery and the not-so-normal statues (like the 26-foot-tall Marilyn Monroe statue that weighs 36,000 pounds). It was really fun and the weather was nice and warm.

I definitely hope to be back there again!
