I'm so excited to share our first wedding from 2017! Kaitlin and Christophe kicked off our new year beautifully with a ceremony at St. Thomas Aquinas in South Philly before heading to their reception at the Ballroom at the Ben. In between we stopped for some fun and fancy bridal party portraits at Washington Square Park!

We kicked off the day with the bride at Hotel Monaco, which is such a fun place to take pictures. The rooms look so cool and they really make for a great backdrop. The groom got ready at their house in South Philly, just a few blocks from the church.

Their personalities really came out during the portrait portion of the day. Christophe has such a funny demeanor and he was throwing ideas at us left and right! Kaitlin, obviously knowing how he is, just rolled with it.

It felt great being back in the saddle. I hope you enjoy the photos!

If you have a second, check out their engagement photos here.

Philadelphia Wedding Photography: Kevin & Loren’s Cranbury, NJ Barn Wedding

With the Fall weather rolling in (sort of) I wanted to dip back and show off one of the weddings from a few years ago that we never shared. It just so happens (or was it completely intentional?) that today is also Kevin and Loren's fourth anniversary!

These two were actually the third wedding we a part of for the Vallery Family. First we had the pleasure of photographing Shannon and Brian's wedding during the Running with the Santa's and then were asked back for Kelly and Shamus's wedding on the beach!  With those two in our pocket, Loren and Kevin asked us to document their wedding as well!

To say that each wedding in this family was unique would be an understatement. One had a Christmas-themed wedding complete with hundreds of drunken Santas while the other was a beautiful beach wedding in New Jersey. So we had high hopes for this one.

They did NOT disappoint.

Their day included a ceremony in a private barn, wedding portraits in a corn field, a wedding slogan sewn in to Kevin's brown suit ('It's All Happening'), a bee-themed wedding cake and the most epic dance-off I have EVER SEEN! I can still distinctly remember forgetting to take pictures of the dance-off because I was so enthralled.

Enjoy!

Delaware Wedding Photography | Caitlin & Mark's Greenville Country Club Wedding

*Posted by Matt*

Late this June, Caitlin and Mark took us outside our normal (but not bound-to) territory, for their wedding at Greenville Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware! We were so excited to meet this duo as we had only gotten to know them over the phone; the two had been living in London since we first spoke to them!

The venue was so beautiful. The building itself had a rustic flair, while the ceremony site was out in a perfectly green courtyard, and the reception was housed under a giant tent adorned with string lights (it was almost like dancing under the stars when the sun went down!) You would never know by looking that there was actually a bunch of construction going on towards the side of the building at the time!

Caitlin, Mark and their loyal bridal party braved the heat wave temperatures for some portraits around the grounds and on the sprawling lawn, and the bride and groom even let us steal them away for a quite moment at sunset.

To end the reception, the band played Mark's favorite wedding song, SHOUT!, to which EVERYONE got into! The two walked out of their party in style: right through a sparkler exit and into a classic car adorned with a "Just Married" sign and the quintessential cans tied to the bumper. It was definitely a day that we will remember for a long time to come!

Philadelphia Wedding Photography | Sara & Dustin's Old Mill Wedding

Sara and Dustin tied the knot a few weekends ago with a ceremony at The Old Mill, and they could not have been in better spirits about what the day had in store for them. Both were elated to be surrounded by some of their best friends while getting ready at the Marriott in Conshohocken, and we could feel the excitement in the air from the moment we walked into the room.

Despite the foreboding forecast for the day, (there was a huge chance of rain from almost the start of the day, through the reception!) the two managed to stay calm, cool, and collected, and the rain actually held out for the first look, bridal party portraits and family portraits once we got to The Old Mill!

However, staying true to many of the weekends we have had this year, the weather decided to open up and pour rain RIGHT before the ceremony...which was supposed to be completely outside! The rockstar planners from cHill Weddings decided to jockey the timeline around a bit, and although the two had to ditch the outside plan, they still filled the venue with so many friends and family that it made the day no less special than they had hoped.

Sara and Dustin put their own special twist on all of the fine details at the reception: they made all the signs, centerpieces and decorations! (Think centerpieces made from paint stirrers and a seating card holder made from reclaimed shutters!)

We were so glad to be a part of their special day! Thanks, Sara and Dustin!

Lehigh Valley Wedding | Liz and Gavin's Allentown Wedding

*Posted by Matt*

Liz and Gavin took us back to our "home away from home" when we went back to Allentown in June for their wedding at the Renaissance Hotel!

To kick it all off, they had their ceremony at St. Joseph The Worker Church in Orefield before heading out for the celebration. On top of getting to revisit one of our locations for bridal party portraits at the Rose Gardens, we also had surprise visits by Taylor Swift, JFK, the Blues Brothers AND the Mummers. It was a pretty packed evening.

Check out the pictures to prove it but I promise Taylor Swift and JFK absolutely showed up. I swear.

Gavin's family has a tradition to dress up and dance as The Blues Brothers at weddings and family gatherings, so imagine 40-50 guys with top hats and sunglasses dancing around. Meanwhile, Liz's family has connections to the Mummers so they came out in full force as well!

And then, as if that wasn't enough, Gavin's dad and his band took the stage for a few songs to really pump up the crowd.

These two definitely put their own twist on how to celebrate a wedding. Congrats guys!
