When you have the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Boathouse Row and everything around there for wedding a backdrop, the real question on where to do portraits is: where do we start? That's the situation we were in for Patricia and Andrew's wedding at the Fairmount Water Works. Luckily we came prepared with a plan!

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to go out with Chris and Mary Lou for engagement photos at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. We have been to the museum a bunch of times before and we absolutely love it. It's such a great challenge for us to revisit locations and find new and fresh ideas for photographs. Well, these two had already done the heavy lifting for us because they introduced us to a new spot we had never seen before!
We started with some traditional engagement portraits on the art museum steps and then walked down a side staircase to almost the water's edge. It was really a nice surprise and fit our motto of always trying to look at things differently. Apparently they have spent some time down there before so it was a fitting spot to capture their relationship in.Β After we were done by the water's edge β which included a great spiral staircase for pictures β we circled back to have some more fun near the Azalea Garden as well as a quick portrait by Boathouse Row.
These two were really fun to be around and their love for each other was so evident in their laughter. It was almost too easy to make great pictures!
Keep an eye out for their wedding at Valley Green Inn...it will be posted soon!
