When you have the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Boathouse Row and everything around there for wedding a backdrop, the real question on where to do portraits is: where do we start? That's the situation we were in for Patricia and Andrew's wedding at the Fairmount Water Works. Luckily we came prepared with a plan!

Philadelphia Engagement Photography | Alli & Jason's Fairmount Engagement Portraits
*Posted by Matt*
Sun! Flowers! Bring it on! All of this good weather that keeps teasing us has us thinking about some past work we never shared. One session in particular...Ali and Jason's engagement session in Fairmount comes to mind!
You might recognize them from their wedding photos that we posted a while back.
It should come as no surprise to anyone that our business moniker was inspired by the neighborhood of the same name so whenever we have a chance to revisit the old stomping grounds we enjoy it. Ali and Jason asked us about taking their engagement portraits around Fairmount and we were thrilled!
We started with some old standards, a few portraits in the Azalea Garden followed by wandering around the Art Museum grounds for a bit. Then came the really fun part! We went back to their place (they live in the neighborhood) so they could change clothes and do some more casual engagement portraits around the awesome buildings and character that the neighborhood has to offer.
It really was a perfect day, as well. The weather was gorgeous and we even had some great late afternoon sun thanks to some strategic planning!
Philadelphia Wedding Photography: Lynda & Matt's Winter Engagement Portraits
• Posted by Matt • Back in January we went out in the icy cold weather for some winter-themed engagement portraits around Philly with Lynda and Matt. Let me tell you, cold weather and icy conditions could easily temper any enthusiasm but these two were really great! We met at City Hall and walked around town, making sure we got a few pictures at in the courtyard at City Hall, inside Love Park and around the Union League of Philadelphia. Then we moved down the parkway to do some pictures around the Art Museum. The best part was that they wanted to try and get a different look from these iconic locations, so that made things fun.
This was my first time meeting Matt and I feel like this engagement session was a good way to get to know each other. And here we are, almost ten months later and it's time for these two to tie the knot! Lynda and Matt are getting married in Rose Valley, PA this weekend at the Old Mill.
Congrats Lynda and Matt! We are excited for what you have in store for this weekend!
