The big win for Villanova last night got me thinking about the weddings on campus we have been a part of over the years. The chapel at Villanova is a beautiful wedding venue and being able to work there has been amazing. In looking through what we have shared, I realized that a few of those instances have slipped through the cracks!

Olde City Engagement Portraits | Kaitlin & Christophe
*Posted by Matt*
We are so excited to kick off our 2017 season this weekend with Kaitlin and Christophe's wedding in Olde City! January weddings are always a bit tricky but the forecast looks great and these two are such naturals. So, we are ready.
We went around last year with these two to a few spots in Olde City for engagement portraits and their humor and smiles made things almost too easy for us. We didn't have a strict plan, just walk around and make some great portraits! Right up our alley!
Everything was rolling along smoothly until the one planned outfit change. I waited while they went to change but ten...twenty...thirty minutes had passed until I see Christophe running down the street, now clad in a full suit (sans coat) and a plastic bag in his hands. Apparently there was a dress malfunction (which may or may not have been his fault) and now Kaitlin's dress had no functioning zipper. He'd gone to the store to get safety pins.
With a little strategic angling and arm placement we were able to pull off the second half of the shoot but not without a ton of laughs.
Bring on wedding season!
Boston Engagement Photography | Shannon & Skye's ICA Engagement Photos

My third Boston engagement session introduced me to the Institute of Contemporary Art, which overlooks Boston Harbor. I was thankful for an indoor location on this frosty January day, and the Founders Gallery, with its floor-to-ceiling windows facing a white wall, was the perfect spot. Shannon and Skye met while sailing on Boston Harbor, and their October wedding will be at the Boston Harbor Hotel, so it seemed fitting that the harbor would also be the backdrop for their engagement photos. This couple also wins the award for best dip photo; I can't wait to see Shannon pull that off in a wedding dress!
Boston Engagement Photography | Justen & Jenn's Plymouth Beach Engagement Photos

Can you believe these photos were taken in January?! I had my second taste of Boston wedding photography at the beginning of this year when I met up with Jenn & Justen at the site of their June wedding along the water in Plymouth, Mass., which also happens to be the site of Jenn's parents' house. We had an unseasonably warm, overcast day, which was perfect for some portraits along one of the Plymouth beaches. The engagement portrait session started right at the end of high tide, so we we were able to get a few shots in before the sandbars started to disappear.
I look forward to sharing their summer beachside wedding photos with you soon!

Seriously...Josh wasn't the only one with personality here. I asked Joanna to strike a pose and bam!
Matt caught the next three shots of the guys before the ceremony.

I love the expressions in these formals :)
