The big win for Villanova last night got me thinking about the weddings on campus we have been a part of over the years. The chapel at Villanova is a beautiful wedding venue and being able to work there has been amazing. In looking through what we have shared, I realized that a few of those instances have slipped through the cracks!

She said "Yes!" | Shane & Lindsay's New Hope Proposal Session
• Posted by Matt •
Most of the time we meet our clients well into the wedding planning process, but a couple weeks ago foreword-thinking Shane got in touch with us to see if we could document his proposal. We are loving the trend of getting professional photos of the proposal! It's so much fun to be a part of that moment. Shane had a lot of ideas, so we helped him narrow down the perfect spot — a pocket park along the Delaware River in New Hope, PA. Then we came up with a couple options for Lindsay to choose from for a post-proposal portrait session.
With all of the planning taken care of it was time to execute. I got to New Hope early and grabbed a seat in the park and awaited their arrival. When I saw Shane go down on one knee I jumped into position and got pictures of him asking her to marry him.
After a few minutes of shock, they decided on engagement photos at Peddler's Village. Shane assumed she would want Halloween-themed portraits (they're both huge fans of Halloween) and he was right. Despite quite a large crowd at Peddler's Village, we were able to maneuver all that to create some more personal portraits on the grounds.
Shane and Lindsay, it was so much fun being a part of something so special. Thanks for choosing us to capture such a great moment in your lives!
Boston Engagement Photography | Rachael & Robert's Boston Common Engagement Session
• Posted by Natalie •
As I've mentioned previously, my little family has relocated to just outside Boston. I grew up in the Lehigh Valley, and lived in Philly for nearly 10 years, so Boston is a whole new world to me. But I am learning to love it! I've approached 2013 as my "Boston wedding photography bootcamp." I'm working as a subcontractor for a company up here in order to gain as much experience and knowledge of the area as possible. While I know that it's hard to replicate the institutional knowledge that comes with growing up in a place, I hope that photographing dozens of weddings at many of the best Boston wedding venues will give me a solid head start.
My first Boston engagement session brought me to one of the most popular spots in the city, but with a twist. Rachael and Robert wanted to take advantage of the post-holiday decor on Boston Common and the Public Garden at night, and of course we couldn't pass up the light-wrapped trees along Comm. Ave. It was a cold night, but we made the most of it! I can't wait to check out their wedding venue. They'll be celebrating their October wedding on Thompson Island in Boston Harbor.
Philadelphia Engagement Photography | Julia & Tom's Longwood Garden Engagement Portrait

Tom and Julia's engagement photos at Longwood Gardens last weekend were so much fun, even though it was quite cold outside. They braved the cold admirably! From a personal standpoint, we have always wanted to do Longwood Gardens engagement photos because of all the different structures and flowers they have to offer. Beautiful flowers in winter always draw photographers, like the class of photographers we stumbled upon halfway through.
Winter engagement photos can be tricky, so we started outdoors to try and monopolize on the warmth we walked in with. After tracing our way through the Peony Garden and Wisteria Garden we stopped at the Whispering Bench for a quick photo before heading indoors to the Conservatory for some warmth and floral photos.
The outdoor winter scenes and indoor florals really made for a great mix of photos.
Tom and Julia, thanks so much for braving the cold to meet us! We're looking forward to your wedding in just a few short months!
Jessica & Hans Bethlehem Enagagement Session
Jessica had lots of ideas for her engagement photo session with Hans, and Matt and I were really excited to make them into reality. We started at Braveheart Highland Pub in Hellertown to get some quiet and cozy shots, then we moved out to the Steel Stacks in Bethlehem to create some edgier shots and we rounded it all out with some fun shots tossing the football around in their Steelers jerseys. They were such great sports and up for trying out all of Matt and my ideas too — I can't wait for their wedding!
