Philadelphia Wedding Photography | Lynn & John's Crystal Tea Room Wedding

*Posted by Matt*

We had such a great time at Lynn and John's Center City wedding last year!

Lynn and her 11 (yes, 11!) bridesmaids began their exciting day in the bridal suite of the Crystal Tea Room right in the heart of the city. It was the perfect venue for their music themed wedding. Lynn looked breathtaking in her strapless, beaded wedding gown, which was finished off with her "something blue" — blue flats! The royal blue bridesmaids dresses were a beautiful compliment to the primary color scheme that Lynn and John had picked. (Keeping with the music theme mentioned above, they even created their own wedding logo: red, yellow and blue overlapping records.)

While the girls got ready, the guys were having some fun of their own. John, a big Indiana Jones fan, got dressed in a full Indy getup, right down to the hat, black bowtie and red carnation! All dressed up, John and his lively groomsmen walked from South Street, where Blocktober Fest was happening, over to the church to meet Lynn. It was finally time to get married!

Lynn and John had their wedding ceremony at Saint John the Evangelist Church in Center City, under the beautiful arches and ornate white altar.

After the ceremony, the whole group teamed up for some bridal party portraits at City Hall. Along the way, they ran into an equality march, whose participants were quick to celebrate John and Lynn's love!

The reception at the Crystal Tea Room was definitely one to remember. Each of the tables were named with a different band name, and had music sheet centerpieces, keeping with the music wedding theme. Lynn's sister, also a music enthusiast and artist herself, wrote a special song for the newlyweds, surprising them with a video recording during her Maid of Honor speech. There was not a dry eye in the whole Crystal Tea Room!

We had so much fun with Lynn, John and their whole wedding party, and they definitely knew how to throw a great party!

Philadelphia Wedding Photography | Kerri & Mark's Grounds For Sculpture Engagement Portraits

When Kerri and Mark first told me they wanted their engagement photos at Grounds For Sculpture, I was a little skeptical. I had never been to the park before and a lot of times it's not okay to just walk in and start taking pictures. But I had heard so much about the park and the potential was definitely there for great images. If you haven't been there before, the park contains a slew of larger-than-life sculptures spread out over acres of green space that you can just walk around and enjoy. Mark and Kerri live not too far from the park, so they were no strangers to it.

Now that everything is done I can honestly say that it was such a good idea.

We met up on a Sunday morning and just walked around the park, taking pictures with the normal scenery and the not-so-normal statues (like the 26-foot-tall Marilyn Monroe statue that weighs 36,000 pounds). It was really fun and the weather was nice and warm.

I definitely hope to be back there again!

Philadelphia Wedding Photography | Mark & Kerri's Princeton Wedding

Kerri and Mark's October wedding was a perfect way to kick off our fall season last year. Their wedding day — centered around Princeton, NJ — was full of warm colors, leaves that had just begun to turn, and lots of excitement! Their sense of humor was right in line with ours, too, and that always helps!

Kerri started off her day surrounded by her bridesmaids (and the most adorable flower girl/ring bearer combination) at her parent's home, while the guys were at Mark's family house getting ready. Kerri's strapless, mermaid wedding dress was paired with an off-the-shoulder shawl, making it perfect for the fall day. Her bridesmaids also looked stunning in their black, low back bridesmaids dresses, and their red lily bouquets really popped. The bride left for her ceremony in style, riding in a classic, white, 1927 Rolls Royce! Talk about awesome!

They had a traditional Catholic wedding at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church and then strolled around the school for some beautiful bridal party portraits at Princeton University. The old architecture really made for some lovely photos! The reception at South Gate Manor in Freehold, New Jersey, was beautiful. They went with a black and white theme, with splashes of red throughout. They even had an ice cream sundae bar to finish off the night! How sweet!

Kerri and Mark, thanks so much for having us as part of your day! Your style and sense of humor really came together to create great images.

Philadelphia Wedding Photography | Alli & Jason's Valley Green Inn Wedding

Alli and Jason were one of our final Fall weddings of 2014, and their special day was just perfect!

We met up with Alli and her bridesmaids for some getting ready photos at Blo/Out, a salon right in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. After the girls were finished with their beautiful hair and makeup, they assembled over at the Hyatt at the Bellevue on Broad Street. Here, in a fantastic suite overlooking the city, Alli put on her gorgeous beaded, strapless wedding gown and blue heels. She looked amazing!

The guys were also getting ready in the Bellevue, but on another floor. The groomsmen looked great in their charcoal grey suits and orange ties, and Jason stood out wearing a sharp blue suit with a fuchsia tie. It all worked to pull together the bridesmaids' fuchsia, knee length dresses, and the pops of fall colors in the bouquets.

Jason and Alli had their first look on the steps at the Bellevue, and Jason was left speechless when he saw his bride!

The group of 11 then made their way around Center City for some photos, ending up on Kelly Drive for a quick game of Wiffle Ball, one of Alli and Jason's favorite games! This was definitely the first time we ever did Wiffle Ball wedding photos, and it was so much fun!

The soon-to-be newlyweds headed over to Valley Green, the perfect spot for their fall wedding ceremony and reception! Alli's best friend officiated the wedding, and he had the bride and groom in tears (mosty from laughing!) during the ceremony. When the couple said "I do," their guests sent them down the aisle in a shower of golden fall leaves.

Their reception was warm and inviting, with sunflowers adorning the tables, and dreamy paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling of the Valley Green reception hall.

The whole crowd had such a fun time, and Alli and Jason had sunglasses ready for all of their guests, printed with "Klein Time" - the couple's running motto of the day - on the lenses! It was definitely a wedding for the books!

(It's Klein Time! Yeaaaaaaaaaaa!)
